Good afternoon and thank you for your time!

It has once again become necessary for us to update the nation on the developments in the basic education sector. We have gone through a very difficult time this year in general due to COVID-19. The matric examination have also come with their own challenges.

Western Cape Education on NSC national rewrite in Mathematics Paper 2 and Physical Science Paper 2

This afternoon, the National Minister for Basic Education announced that two National Senior Certificate Examination Papers will be rewritten nationally following an investigation into the leaks of the Mathematics Paper 2 and Physical Sciences Paper 2. 

The dates of the rewrites will be as follows:

The Deputy Minister for the Public Service and Administration, Ms Sindisiwe Chikunga, as uMgungundlovu District Development Model (DDM) National Champion, is returning to the district on 08 and 09 December 2020 to assess progress made during the first two months of the inauguration for the initiative in the area.
