Road Traffic Management Corporation on labour relations dispute with Tasima

The long running dispute between Tasima and RTMC to be settled in Constitutional Court


The Constitutional Court is set to deliver a judgment that will settle the long running labour relations dispute between the Road Traffic Management Corporation and Tasima.

Tasima has launched numerous court actions in an attempt to hold on to the National Traffic Information System after the Constitutional Court ruled in November 2016 that it had to hand over the system to the RTMC.

Speaker Thandi Modise considers requests for Parliament to address Coronavirus COVID-19 corruption allegations

Parliament’s National Assembly (NA) Speaker Ms Thandi Modise has received requests from the Democratic Alliance (DA) and the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) for Parliament to address the allegations of corruption around COVID-19 relief measures.

The DA, through its parliamentary leader, Mr John Steenhuisen, has requested a scheduling of debate of urgent national public importance on corruption related to COVID-19 tenders, with President Cyril Ramaphosa also appearing to provide answers about how he will act on the allegations.

North West Legislature SCOPA to hold virtual MFMA public hearings with Lekwa-Teemane and Maquassi Hills Local Municipalities for 2018/19 audit reports

On Wednesday, 5 August 2020, the North West Provincial Legislature' Standing Committee on Provincial Public Accounts will hold virtual Municipal Finance Management Act public hearings for the 2018/19 audit reports.

The meetings are scheduled as follows;

DPE welcomes Eskom’s steps to recoup funds lost to state capture

The Department of Public Enterprises (DPE) welcomes Eskoms’s steps to recoup funds lost to State Capture corruption. Eskom and the Special Investigative Unit (SIU) announced today, that a set of summons has been issued in the North Gauteng High Court to recover funds from former Eskom executives, former Board members, members of the Gupta family and their associates, and others.
