Minister Susan Shabangu rolls out dialogues for No Violence against Women and Children in North West, 26 Feb

Minister in the Presidency Responsible for Women, Hon Susan Shabangu, MP, and Supra Mahumapelo, North West Province Premier, will launch and roll out the National Dialogues for No Violence Against Women and Children on Monday, 26th February at the Kenneth Kaunda Municipality.

The National Dialogues in North West will take place in the four District Municipalities of the province. The focus of the dialogues might vary from district to district as they will be informed by the social issues and challenges unique to each district.

Minister Fikile Mbalula condemns killing of five Police officers from Ngcobo Police station

The Minister of Police, Minister Fikile Mbalula today woke up to the most horrifying news, five (5) Police from Engcobo, Eastern Cape were attacked at Engcobo Police station. A group of armed suspects entered the police station in the early hours of this morning.

Three members were killed instantly, the suspects made off with a police van taking two other members. The two police officers were later found dead with gunshot wounds. Today Minister Fikile Mbalula will be visiting Engcobo, Eastern Cape.

Minister Hlengiwe Mkhize opens Richmond-Indaleni Community Skills Development Centre, 23 Feb

The Minister of Higher Education and Training, Professor Hlengiwe Mkhize, MP, will officially open the Richmond-Indaleni Community Skills Development Centre in Richmond, KwaZulu Natal on Friday, the 23rd of February 2018.

The Community skills Development Centre was launched in 2016 by the Department of Higher Education and Training in collaboration with the Fibre Processing and Manufacturing SETA (FP&M SETA), UMgundundlovu TVET College and the Methodist Church of Southern Africa.

National Commissioner Khehla Sitole condemns attack on Ngcobo Police Station

The National Commissioner of the South African Police Service, General Khehla John Sitole,has strongly condemned the attack on the Ngcobo Police Station between Umtata and Queenstown in the Eastern Cape.

An unknown group of armed suspects entered the police station in the early hours of this morning and without warning, randomly opened fire on the members on duty. Three members were killed instantly in the Community Service Centre. An off duty soldier was also shot dead as the suspects were fleeing.
